Typhoon Tino makes landfall in Leyte, Cebu; Signal No. 4 in 8 areas
Typhoon Tino (international name: Kalmaegi) has made two landfalls since 12 a.m. on Tuesday in the Visayas, where eight areas are under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4, according to the state weather bureau.
The death toll from the most recent floods and landslides rose to 37 on Monday, with five people missing and 78 injured, officials said.
Typhoon Tino has forced nearly 80,000 individuals from their homes in the Caraga Region, with thousands taking shelter in evacuation centres ahead of its landfall on Monday evening,

Typhoon Tino slightly weakens; 8 areas still under Signal No. 4
Typhoon Tino (international name: “Kalmaegi”) slightly weakened as it batters through Visayas on Tuesday afternoon, the state weather bureau said. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4, meanwhile, remains raised over several areas in Visayas and in Luzon.
Typhoon Tino weakened further Tuesday afternoon as it decelerated over the Iloilo Strait, but Signal No. 4 remains in effect over parts of Western Visayas and the Cuyo Islands, PAGASA said Tuesday. In its 2 p.m. weather advisory, PAGASA raised the following Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals:
