Andre Dickens is projected to win a second term as Atlanta's mayor, but votes are still being counted in crucial City Council races.

Voters chose their selections for Atlanta City Council president, as well as members to fill 15 council seats.

It’s Election Day in Georgia as voters choose their representatives for two seats on the Georgia Public Service Commission and numerous mayoral, city council and school board seats across metro Atlanta.

Other key races on the ballot include races for mayor in cities such as Atlanta, South Fulton and Sandy Springs, and also the statewide special election for PSC.

Atlantans will head to the polls today to vote for mayor, Atlanta City Council president and all 15 council district seats, but some have already cast their ballots.

As Election Day nears, local candidates are making their final push in what has been a monthslong campaign season. Data from the Georgia secretary of state’s office showed 13.4% voter turnout for all active registered voters and 12% turnout for Black voters during the early voting period,

Atlanta voters are headed to the polls on Tuesday for city elections that include offices such as mayor and city council president, as well as all 15 city council seats.

A Fulton County judge says she will allow 81 City of Atlanta precincts in Fulton and DeKalb Counties to remain open until 8 p.m. today. Over in Gwinnett, an elections official says some voters will have to go to two polling locations.
